Thanks for the help. I'll try psiphone later. Good news is I messaged my supplier on FB already. Basically, I clicked on an ad for a free 7 day proxy trial and $6 a month afterwards. Got it running in a couple minutes. I'm thinking of setting up Your Freedom (proxy service) afterwards. A German friend showed me when I was working there.

This is the exactly the point why we are not publishing our source codes.

Agree with you, That's a negative point.

[Repeat] We assume that your are a web developer, you have an idea and have it implemented. you sell or are not! do you really need hundreds of thousands of dollars?

What this usually gets used for is hiring sales staff in advance of having the revenue that allows it. Acceleration is really the key thing that this capital is looking to accomplish (in theory).

It makes life easier for sure. For example, you're just a sole developer with limited time. If you add others to your team and pay them a salary, that could be money. Or you simply aren't a web startup, but a startup in hardware or something else that requires more money.

Etc.

In normal conditions, I agree with you. but if you see this tool as an ability to improve the UX, it's a miracle. I can't imagine a better way to find out design problems.

"An Unsuccessful Web Entrepreneur" was my title! I've been working since 8 years ago, and I'm busy now too! Among all my 10 startups there are only two successful and the rest is completely defeated. Just wanted to say: do not despair!

Because of the problems with funding and lack of promotion strategy all start-ups failed!

We prefer SaaS because of: 1. Data Safety (and sometimes for high risk information companies prefer a desktop app for privacy) 2. Multi-Platform 3. Access from everywhere 4. A better UX (in most cases) 5. Maintenance,Maintenance and Maintenance (a bug in your desktop app is terrible, but SaaS? you can solve in for all customers in a second) 6. Prevent hack and cracks! (That's really a huge money-loss)

Really these are very serious problems. But there are some cases you should use desktop apps.

Having created and sold several Windows desktop apps over the last 10 years...the worst thing about them is getting updates out to users. I regularly get bug reports sent from my apps, mostly from eastern European countries, that are several YEARS worth of updates behind. I assume they are cracked versions, so I usually pay no attention.

You should provide a good reason for visitor to become a user. never block everything for guests(like many websites out there), you should provide a great demo or any strong reason for people to become a user. That's clear nobody will fill forms and do activation process for just a sentence that you wrote on your home page. "Find Friends" - Signup "Live Chat" - Signup
