25yrs ago, doing any kind of revision control or compare different "versions" of the same "database" was next to impossible IIRC. Then there were those "replication failures", sometimes trivial to fix, sometimes completely impossible to debug. And god forbid you did something to the default email template to make it more compatible with external IMAP clients...
Ca. 2000. Converted a few companies (each around 20-30 mail / calendar users) from novell groupwise and ms exchange to notes/domino. Client OSes were windows 98, maybe even an occasional windows for workgroups. Not smooth sailing. Had to abort at least one conversion in the middle of the night because some "wizard" didn't work.
Users were trained in the new ways of email and some proprietary CRM app we developed, but IIRC at least half of the customers rolled back immediately because of user protest over user interface and missing/non-working functionality, one customer even went under.
In principle Lotus Notes was the best, but practically, it was horrible.
The thing that defines performance of DRAM is AFAIK the capacitor of the bit cells and not the transistor driving it. And also AFAIK the process to create those capacitors is quite unique to DRAM, so you can't just go and use a "logic" process unchanged and produce DRAMs.
Maybe they mean X11-screens. That are more or less independent screens, you can't move a window from one to the other for example.Emacs supports that somewhat with the "open new frame on display server" menu option, but usually, multiple screens are not very useful.
Nowadays, multiple monitors present one big virtual framebuffer and only one logical X11 screen.
It is a niche feature, but it is still used eg when an application wants to have good control over a screen's frame buffer to display sth in an external monitor and minimise disturbances. I think it is fairly standard in psychophysics experiments, at least with some software. That's where I worked with such a ("zaphodsheads") setup.
They claim not only fast charging, long life and low cost, but also very high energy density, no degradation in low temperature, no thermal runaway, non-hazardous materials and no "geopolitical" needed.
