If I were you, I wouldn't be so quick to trust any cryptography standard set by a government agency. They have an obvious incentive to ensure that any standard that is eventually set be open to attack by whatever means the NSA has (or will have in the near future.)

So pay careful attention to things they reject, or things they modify!
