Because the truth is a HUD is useless most of the time. What are you gonna put on it? Walking speed? Time to lunch? Random Tweets?

I'd want the same stuff on it as I have on other PCs. Tools or access to tools. And yes, mobile-specific stuff too. Why work in/on wherever using a tablet, when you could instead have a full virtual work environment?

Maybe not walking speed, but perhaps biking speed? Text messages? Caller id (for screening calls)?
